About the Poet

George Manner

George Manner was born and raised in Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University (BA) and the University of Montana (MFA). He also did some postgraduate work at the University of Houston.

His poems have appeared in The Southern Review, Shenandoah, Sequoia, Gulf Coast, and Santa Fe Review. A chapbook entitled My View of the Mountain appeared in 2004; it is available locally.

Mr. Manner teaches Composition and Creative Writing at Santa Fe Community College.
