Alex Gaziano

You Will Never Sing Again

"The polar opposites must be pulling
              me apart," you said
"I don't know how my spine's holding
              up these days."
"Watching ants falling
through the cracks of the
kitchen floor.
Makes it hard to think they're
not mocking these cold Fall days."
"A new place is always hard to
get used to, when your only
comfort is the green and white
T-shirt two sizes too small," you said
"A one page letter from home will
              still never keep me satisfied."
"It's when I know, I can't go back,
When I can't go back at all."
